SELF-HEALING PROTECTION FOR YOUR VEHICLE
Your vehicle does get you to where you need to go; however, most still look at theirs like a valuable jewel that must be protected at all costs. While you drive down the road, does the thought of wrapping your vehicle in an invisible force field to prevent small paint chips and minor scratches sound like a dream?

Well wake up, it can be your reality with a Paint Protection Film (PPF). But what exactly is this, and how exactly does it protect your vehicle’s finish?
A paint protection film, also known as a clear bra or PPF for short, is a clear urethane barrier created to help protect the paint of a vehicle's exterior against minor abrasions, environmental stains, rock chips, and more. Traditionally, a paint protection film has self-healing properties, which are enacted after an impact takes place. And much like ceramic coatings, a paint protection film repels staining from the environment to help keep your vehicle shining bright.
When only the very best will do, the
Ceramic Pro Ultimate Armor Package delivers unparalleled protection and unmatched peace of mind—without the sky-high price tag. This revolutionary solution is designed for those who demand top-tier defense against the elements while maintaining a flawless, showroom-quality finish.
This is the gold standard in automotive surface protection—a package that delivers supreme resilience and beauty, elevating your vehicle to a level of protection that’s second to none without breaking the bank. If you're looking for the best investment for your ride, this is it.

Installing a clear film to the body of a vehicle can seem like a tedious process, and it certainly is! But as a way to bring ease to the minds of new customers that bring their vehicle to D.A.C. Custom Detailing for one of our Paint Protection Film packages, we like to explain our process.
Much like our ceramic coating packages, the painted surfaces of your vehicle are what will be safeguarded by a PPF. Any dust, dirt, or other notable environmental contaminants on the surface of your finish can create an uneven, rippled effect across your PPF. To avoid this, we wash and decontaminate your paint’s surface.
To apply a PPF to your vehicle flawlessly the first time around, our paint protection film professionals here at D.A.C. Custom Detailing will pre-cut unique areas of your exterior and then once this step is complete, line everything up to ensure it has been handled with expert level attention to detail.
To adhere the PPF to a vehicle, we apply a solution to the surface that the adhesive already on the PPF can bond to, as it cannot simply do so to your paint’s surface. This solution comes in spray form, preventing the possibility of an uneven distribution of it.
Once all necessary planning is complete, it is time to attach the PPF to your vehicle! We do not simply slap it on and call it good; our detailers actually squeegee any air pockets out on every part of your surface to guarantee the PPF’s form and function are top notch. Thereafter, your vehicle must sit for the specified amount of time for the PPF to have properly adhered to the surface.
Nothing about installing paint protection film should be taken lightly. This clear film adhered to your paintwork must be expertly applied to avoid aesthetic inaccuracies, such as ripples and bubbling, and to ensure that it does its job in protecting your paintwork.

D.A.C. Custom Detailing has been the Washington Metro Area’s premier PPF installation shop for quite some time, and because of this tenure, you can rest assured that having this service done to your vehicle will be correct the first time.
We also stand by the products we use here at D.A.C. Custom Detailing. Our installers are trained exclusively in Paint Protection Films, giving them the necessary expertise in all products that come from this valued partner of ours. Likewise, if anything goes awry with your paint protection film, our team can surely remedy it.
Because both paint protection films and ceramic coatings provide protection over your vehicle’s original paintwork, many wonder what the functional difference is between these two. Aside from the fact that one is a liquid, hydrophobic polymer applied by hand while the other is a clear film applied as a whole to your vehicle, what else separates paint protection films from ceramic coatings, and is one better than the other?
A paint protection film is physically thicker than ceramic coatings. Unless you have multiple applications of a certain coating, they will always be on the thinner side. But because their main quality is to lower the daily maintenance of your vehicle and resist liquid and staining, they don’t need to be any thicker.
A paint protection film is engineered in a way to be self-healing, in that it better defends both itself and more importantly your paint against rock chips and dings that take place while driving. A ceramic coating does not prevent damage from these occurrences
This is where ceramic coating outdoes paint protection film. All ceramic coatings possess hydrophobic qualities, whereas only specific paint protection films have a hydrophobic clear coat on their surfaces to emulate what a ceramic coating can do.
For an added level of both gloss and protection for your paint, you can have a ceramic coating installed over your paint protection film. Our Elite Protection Package actually provides our customers with our Level 3 Protection Package ceramic coating. A paint protection film, also referred to as a "clear bra," is a clear urethane film added on painted surfaces to protect against damage. They absorb the impact of other rock surfaces and other road debris. With easy maintenance and cleaning, a protective film will ensure that the paint on your car will
last longer.
Are you tired of scratches, rock chips, chemical stains, and other damage to your car's paint job? A paint protection film will go a long way toward keeping the paint on your car from getting damaged.
Protection film package services vary depending on the service provider.
Her clients in Marlow Heights are offered a full front package. The protective film is applied to car mirrors, front bumpers, headlights, the entire hood, and the entire front fenders.
A windshield protection film package is also available, which protects the windshield from breakage caused by rock chips, road salt, pebbles, and other debris. A properly applied paint protection film should be virtually invisible from a distance. As a result, it is critical to seek out a professional who can provide quality installation services.
In addition to paint protection film, our auto shop provides ceramic coatings. A ceramic coating is a hard protective layer that prevents damage to your vehicle's exterior detailing. Ceramic coatings, like paint protection film, prevent environmental staining and other damage, but they are not as effective as paint protection film. You can choose the elite package services for a high gloss and protection, which include a full front package and a ceramic protection package.
Installing paint protection films is costly. There are numerous advantages to installing protection films on people's vehicles, which include:
You can certainly agree that car owners would appreciate all of these advantages for their vehicles. Other car owners have installed paint protection film on the bodies of their vehicles, from bumper to bumper and door edge to door edge. This may not be possible due to financial constraints and other factors.
A paint protection film will meet your needs if you want to improve the appearance of your vehicle or make it last longer. Professional advice would be beneficial in making the best decision for your car in terms of which paint protection film to use and where to install it based on your budget and needs. Our experts are on hand to advise you on the best option for your vehicle.
